Due to the COVID-19 crisis we will be taking a number of precautions at the 14th National Wound Care Conference. The following safety measures will be carried out at the very minimum:

  • Tables and chairs will be disinfected twice a day.
  • All staff members are required to wear face masks and gloves.
  • All visitors are required to wear face masks, we will provide complementary face masks where required.
  • Temperature check for all visitors entering the venues.
  • Cleaning stations with hand sanitizer available
  • We will ensure the minimum social distances are complied with and we will work to prevent congestion i.e. staggered arrival and departure times, catering breaks etc.
We are keeping a constant eye on the situation and will follow all updated guidelines closely. The health and safety of our delegates is our priority.

14th National Wound Care Conference

The 14th National Wound Care Conference will take place on Friday 11th June 2021 at America Square Conference Centre, London and will bring together the leading voices in tissue viability and wound care to discuss the key management, clinical and professional issues affecting those in the field.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 14th National Wound Care Conference will be held both physically and virtually. A strictly limited number of delegates will be able to attend in person to watch sessions live whilst talks are also streamed live to a virtual audience. We hope this means as many people as possible will have the chance to get involved.

This year's conference offers valuable CPD for tissue viability nurses, podiatrists, nurse consultants, directors of nursing, district nurses and other nurses with an interest in wound care and provides insight, analysis and information to support informed decision making.

Highlights of the conference will include:
- Changes in community wound care: impact of Covid-19
- Adapting the TVN role to reflect the Covid-19 reality
- Telemedicine: will it transform education and learning?
- Self-management: putting the patient at the centre of care
- Remote access: ensuring effective digital assessment and follow-up
- Prevention and management of PPE-related skin injuries
- Can ‘smart’ dressings change day-to-day practice?

This conference is free to attend in person for Tissue Viability Nurses and Nurse Specialists in Tissue Viability employed by the NHS. NHS workers with different job titles should contact nurseledconferences@markallengroup.com to be placed on a waiting list. For non-NHS staff including those in private practice, academia, research or industry the conference is priced at £200. Please note, NHS ID may be checked.
